| Oskar
Arajs:

Oskar joined Westview's team in September 2009. He comes from Ontario but
was
born in Brazil and has a Latvian ethnic background.
This
complicated mix makes him a regular Canadian! Oskar
is
excited about what God has been doing at Westview
and brings much experience and education in church
leadership. He
is married to his lovely wife, Arta, and you will
often find them going for a walk or day trip. If
you cannot
find Oskar in the office or at home, then he will
most likely be at Starbucks enjoying a "grande dark roast" while reading a book. What most inspires Oskar is seeing people living to their
full
potential in Christ. "Nothing is more exciting than being part of a team that just 'goes for it' for
the sake
of the
Kingdom. " |
| Martin
Wriglesworth: Associate Pastor / Email |

Martin
was a member of WBC long before he felt called to
the ministry full-time.
WBC's
Senior Pastor saw God’s hand on Martin
long
before
Martin did, but
once challenged to pray about God’s purpose for
his
life,
Martin recognized the call and submitted.
He joined WBC as Associate Pastor on April 13, 2008. Martin’s
background
has been in the arts and graphic design.
He
and his wife, Vyonne, have two children, Logan
and
Emily.
For fun and relaxation, he enjoys exploring
the
back roads, beaches and lakes and when time
allows he
enjoys
being
creative.
Martin's
passion? “I want to see people established in Christ,
to understand who they are and mature in the faith.” |
Gino
Consentino: Music & Sound Director / Children’s Ministry / Email

Gino came to WBC through the Alpha Course in 2004. His experience and skills
are with music and children. Gino grew up with four sisters
in Montreal. His Dad was a band leader and "musical genius" who passed his musical skills on to his son. Gino was a touring musician and
a studio musician in his young adult years. Before moving
to the West Coast, he worked as a substitute elementary
school teacher and was head of the daycare and children’s
class at his church in Montreal.
What
makes Gino tick? “My family and Italian heritage, I come from a big family, with lots of children
and grandchildren and soccer!” For
fun he hangs out with his
family…"and Tuesday youth group, now THAT’S fun for me!" |
Deb
Woewoda: Child Nursery Coordinator / Email

Deb is a Powell River girl. She has belonged to the WBC family since 1987, and came on staff as the
Child Nursery Coordinator in September 2006.
Deb has raised four children, which she feels helped her to develop the skills
she uses constantly in this position. She loves to sing with the Academy Chamber
Choir, read, travel, be creative when she has time, and do things with her family.
What
motivates Deb? "Keeping food on the table and doing things I love are always good motivators." |
Lori
Brouwer: Office Administrator / Counseling Director / Email

Lori started out at WBC as a volunteer a few hours a day in 2004 and was hired
full-time in May of 2005. Lori is married and has four
children. She was born in BC but grew up in northern Manitoba. She moved back to BC in the late '70s, lived for a few years in the Okanagan and Alberta, but couldn't stay away from the water and mountains.
Fun and
relaxation for Lori is gardening,
or cooking, sitting on the
beach, fishing and boating. Also, you just might want to ask Lori about her 'road-kill' collection.
What
excites Lori? "I love to help people do their jobs well, to see people succeed and be all
they
were meant to be." |
Gilles Patenaude:
Financial Secretary / Email

Gilles comes from a French Canadian background, the Ontario branch. He is married with five children and started attending Westview Baptist
with his family in 2003. His skills and education are
in accounting and financial planning. Gilles joined
the staff as WBC’s financial secretary in January of
2009.
With spiritual gifts of teaching and administration,
Gilles is very much at home in front of an adult group.
For fun Gilles likes to spend time
reading, travelling, hanging out with family, and gardening.
What
motivates Gilles? "A
deep desire to be in
the will of God and to know Him more."
